Members of Knighton Neighbourhood Forum may be interested in the proposed University of Leicester development at Freemen’s Common.

Friends of Clarendon Park are updating people locally on the progress of University of Leicester’s planning application for the development of a new student village at Freemen’s Common. They are doing this via a dedicated public meeting, which will be on Thursday 21st February from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the Small Meeting Room at Quaker Meeting House, 16 Queens Road, Leicester LE2 1WP. The publicity period for the planning application closes on Tuesday 26th February. Having said that, Leicester City Council’s planning department normally accept comments until the application has been determined, which in this case is likely to be at the Planning and Development Control Committee on Wednesday 13th March.
